The rebranded DMK, now called Episcope, will debut Layla , Ringo’s and DJ’s Great Room in 2025 Started in 2009 by restaurateur David Morton and chef Michael Kornick, DMK Restaurants was behind a number of trendsetting Chicago restaurants, including DMK Burger Bar, Ada Street, and County Barbeque.
“We always led by wouldn’t it be cool if we had a place where we could do a lot of different styles of service and culinary techniques,” says Morton.
With the retirement of Kornick in 2021 and the changes to the industry after COVID, Morton was ready to make some big changes, including a name change for the company....
